As with the previous events, the aim is to enable participants to get feedback on works in progress, whether articles, book chapters or draft book proposals, etc. At past events, we have had papers that were at the near-publication stage or at a much earlier stage of development. In terms of process, like the earlier research workshops, all presenting participants will prepare papers in advance. These papers will be circulated prior to the event so as to enable all participants to read them beforehand.
If an abstract is accepted, draft papers should be submitted by Friday 13 September 2024. That will provide enough time to collate the papers and enable everyone to read them prior to the workshop. Only those presenting or attending the workshop will have access to the draft papers.
We envision that the workshop will consist of no more than 8 presenting academics across 4 sessions, with plenty of time for feedback and discussion. There will be space for non-presenting participants to attend each workshop together with chairs and respondents for each session.
We have a number of PGR students within the ESRAN-UKI network. You are eligible to present at ESRAN-UKI events once you have attended another event as a non-presenting attendee. There will be space for one PGR presenter at each session, and 2 further PGR participants.
Please note only ESRAN UKI Members can present at workshops. If your research relates to economic and social rights, and you wish to become a member of ESRAN-UKI please email esranuki@gmail.com. There is no fee for joining but members are expected to participate in the network’s activities. In addition to our workshops, we also have a regular email bulletin that is circulated with information on: (a) publications; (b) events; (c) cases and legislation, and (d) public consultations and other items of interest.
