This workshop provided a unique opportunity to delve into the principles of a trauma-informed approach to research, guided by lessons from both practice and lived experiences. Building on leading expertise in participatory methods, ethics, and trauma, this workshop explored the meaning, value, and essential components of trauma-informed research. Participants critically examined how this approach can enhance and distinguish itself from existing ethical standards and protocols, and discussed strategies for fostering capacity and support for trauma-informed practices within academic environments.
