Date: Monday 28 October 2024
Location: School of Law and Social Justice
The event will feature presentations by five researchers whose work addresses critical issues shaping children's lives in the region. Topics include children's political participation in Chile, youth-led climate activism in Colombia, and the challenges surrounding educational opportunities in El Salvador, among others.
Through an interdisciplinary conversation, the workshop aims to foster a rich dialogue on how legal frameworks, social movements, educational policies, and philosophical reflection intersect to influence how we study childhood, and how this affects children’s experiences and rights. By highlighting diverse regional perspectives, the event will offer fresh insights into the dynamic roles children are playing in reshaping their societies.
This workshop provides a unique opportunity for students, academics, and practitioners to engage with cutting-edge research and contribute to discussions on the future of childhood in Latin America.
