New Council of Europe Strategy for the Rights of the Child Informed by ECRU/Council of Europe Report
On 2 March 2016 the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe adopted the new Strategy for the Rights of the Child (2016-2021), focusing on areas such as equal opportunities and child-friendly justice for all children. The Strategy was informed by a report prepared by a team of researchers lead by the European Children’s Rights Unit (ECRU)’s Dr. Aoife Daly: Daly et al., Challenges to children’s rights today: What do children think? A desktop study on children’s views and priorities to inform the Council of Europe Strategy for the Rights of the Child (ECRU/Council of Europe, 2015).
