The Hague (Den Haag in Dutch) is located on the west coast of the Netherlands in the province of South Holland. The population in The Hague is 715,000 and it has a temperate climate (though its proximity to the North Sea means that it is often windy).

The city is the Dutch seat of government and home to the royal family, among other important Dutch institutions. The International Criminal Court and International Court of Justice are based in The Hague and it has been dubbed the International City of Peace and Justice due to the integral role the city has played in shaping international law and diplomacy. Founded in 2010 as part of Leiden University, Leiden University College is a liberal arts college based in the Hague that uses interdisciplinary teaching methods and a hands­on approach to learning. Students are challenged to understand relationships between fields of knowledge, and to approach complex issues from multiple and different perspectives. This means you are able to take subjects outside of (but related to) your discipline Leiden University College currently has around 600 students attending and has focus on international and cross-cultural communication.
