Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas re-appointed as member of the European Commission Expert Group on EU Criminal Policy

School of Law and Social Justice’s Dean, Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas, has been appointed as a member of the European Commission Expert Group on EU Criminal Policy. This appointment marks the fifth consecutive time that Professor Mitsilegas has held this position.

He has been an inaugural member of the Expert Group, which was launched in 2012. The mission of the Expert Group is to advise the European Commission on the development of criminal law and policy.

Speaking of the appointment, Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas, Professor of European and Global Law, shared:
