This Pride Month, we are delighted to announce a new free legal advice service for LGBTQ+ families.

Liverpool Law Clinic gives free confidential legal advice and support about…

  • Planning a baby – advice on the legal implications of different decisions about conception.
  • Managing legal arrangements after birth – advice about who has parental responsibility, who can apply for it and how to apply for it.
  • Child arrangements – advice about disputes over who a child should live with or how often they should have contact with another parent or known donor.

Flexible appointments

Appointments are available in person at the Law Clinic* or vitually via a Zoom or Teams video call.

Expert advice

Advice for LGBTQ+ families is supervised by Lucy Yeatman, an experienced Family Law Solicitor.

Lucy is a lesbian mother with a research background in law and same-sex families.

Volunteer Law students help to run the service.
