Eurovision: A Bridge Between Ukraine and Liverpool

I'm Sofiia, an exchange student from Kyiv, Ukraine, and the School of Law and Social Justice has provided me with the great opportunity to spend a year in the UK studying Law in Liverpool.

I am thrilled to see the Eurovision Song Contest coming from my motherland to your city. Eurovision is not only a TV show, it’s a symbolic global event and we are so grateful that Liverpool will host this competition on the behalf of Ukraine.

For me, this event provides a wonderful opportunity to show the rich cultural heritage of both Ukraine and Liverpool to a global audience. Great Britain demonstrating solidarity with our nation is creating cultural partnerships and links between our countries.

I am confident that the Eurovision Song Contest will provide a platform to celebrate our diversity, creativity, and talent. I am proud to be a part of a community that values inclusivity, innovation and collaboration.

I look forward to seeing the magic that will spread during this iconic event and the positive impact it will have on both our countries.
