Studying Italian allows you to explore the country's past and present from a privileged perspective.

    Choose this course if

    You have no knowledge of the language at all.

    Equivalent language level (CEFR)

    • Complete beginners - A1.1

    ITAL902 - Italian Beginners 2

    To take this module, you must have one of the following:

    You have a little knowledge of the language or you have not studied it formally.

    • Beginners - A1.2

    ITAL903 - Italian Elementary 3

    Choose this course if

    You have studied the language formally for one course only - approximately 60 hours, or up to GCSE. 

    Equivalent Language Level (CEFR)

    • (GCSE equivalent) - A2.1

    ITAL904 - Italian Elementary 4

    Choose this course if

    You have studied the language formally up to GCSE (at least 90 hours).

    • Intermediate (GCSE equivalent) - A2.2

    ITAL905 - Italian Intermediate 5

    Choose this course if

    You have studied the language formally up to AS or A-Level (at least 120 hours).

    • Advanced (AS Level) - B1.1

    • 4-6pm

    ITAL906 - Italian Intermediate 6

    To take this module, you need to have one of the following:

    • Completed Italian Stage 5
    • An A-Level in Italian with at least a B grade
    • Equivalent level B1 in the CEFR
