Alexandra gives an Ignite Talk in Liverpool
Ignite is a series of speedy presentations. Presenters get 20 slides, which automatically advance every 15 seconds. The result is a fast and fun presentation which lasts just 5 minutes. Ignite events take place all over the world http://www.ignitetalks.io/ and recently it was held in Liverpool.
LA3NET Fellow Alex Alexandrova took the challenge to give an Ignite talk about particle accelerators and their applications:
"Do you know of any particle accelerators? Maybe CERN? Did you know that there are more than 30,000 accelerators around the world! It's a bit of an unexpected number, isn't it? Would you like to know what they are used for? What kind of cool things are done with them around the world? I am here to talk about it and to tell you everything you would like to know about particle accelerators in our society and how beneficial they are."
