LA³NET scientific results published in NIMA special section
Special section on Laser Applications at Accelerators: selection of research highlights from the European network LA3NET has recently been published in Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A.
The section features 10 papers selected from the International Conference on Laser Applications at Accelerators - LA3NET 2015 which was held last year in Mallorca with around 70 participants. The Conference was the culmination of a series of technical schools and topical workshops delivered by the LA3NET project, an FP7 Marie Curie Initial Training Network funded by the European Commission.
The LA3NET Conference brought together researcher from the laser and particles accelerator communities, in this way ideas at the forefront of these two fields were shared to advance knowledge towards the development of more functional, smaller and cheaper accelerators. Renowned speakers led the conference sessions complemented by contributed talks from delegates. The event created an important opportunity for early stage researchers to present their work and gain form expertise of world-leading researchers. All the LA3NET Fellows presented results achieved over the three years of their research work and training within LA3NET.
Following the standard peer review ten articles building up on conference contributions have now been published in Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research A, with another nine published last year in a special issue of Physics Procedia.
