LA³NET voice at the students’ conference

The Cockcroft Institute held its 4th Annual Postgraduate Conference on 20th October. It was an opportunity for the postgraduate students from the three universities and ASTeC to present their research to a group of their peers and to a judging panel made up of lecturers and senior CI staff.

LA³NET Fellow Yelong Wei gave a talk presenting main aspects of his research project Investigations into grating-based dielectric lase-driven accelerator. He presented the background of his project, the results of the simulations he has performed so far and the next steps.

Yelong started his project last year as an LA³NET Fellow and now continues the research within the PhD programme at the University of Liverpool.  As he told us, the conference was very inspiring and he found it interesting to learn about other students’ work.
