Promoting the network to industry and higher education

Last week there were a couple of opportunities for promoting the network both to industry and to higher education at Liverpool.

On Wednesday June 25th  Rob Ashworth and Helen Williams maintained a stand at Physics Innovate – the University of Liverpool’s contribution to the city’s Business Week. There was a good turnout for the event with plenty of representatives from industry. The event also featured a fascinating range of talks on the emerging practical applications from physics research held in the opulent Liverpool Town Hall Chambers.

Then on Thursday June 26th Rob attended the University of Liverpool's Learning & Teaching Conference contributing a talk about the advantages of training at post graduate level within a network based on the experiences of LA³NET. This was a highly useful day in sharing knowledge in order to maintain training at the highest possible level in line with current thinking on the best approach.
