Launching Stream Capture

To launch Stream Capture, you will need to be in a teaching room which is Stream Capture enabled or using a staff PC or laptop on the Managed Windows Service (MWS) with Stream Capture installed.

  1. Launch Stream Capture by double clicking on the desktop icon.

    Alternatively, run Stream Capture via: Start > All Programs > The University of Liverpool > Stream Capture > Stream Capture
  2. You will be asked if you are capturing a lecture:

    If you click yes then you will be asked to select the associated activity from a dropdown menu (with date and time). Your video will then be tagged with this information, and will be automatically uploaded to VITAL to the Stream Lectures area.

  3. Stream Capture will determine which devices are connected to your PC and therefore which settings are required.

  4. The main menu will then appear along with details of the settings which are in place, including:
    - The type of capture
    - Mouse capture settings
    - Webcam settings
    - Audio recording settings
    - Save option
    - Send to stream.liv.ac.uk option
