IT Services is launching 24/7 online chat support
The IT Service Desk is always available to help you resolve your technical issues and queries quickly and effectively.
You can speak with someone over the phone 24/7 by calling +44 (0)151 794 4567 (External) or 4 4567 (Internal), and from 5 August 2024 our online chat facility will also be available 24/7.
If you call or use the online chat facility after 5pm on weekdays, or on weekends, bank holidays or University closed days, your query will be directed to a staffed out-of-hours service. Contacting the IT Service Desk by phone or online chat allows you to speak to an agent directly allowing for a quicker and more efficient response.
You may also find the answer to your query on our knowledge base, which features a wealth of useful information and answers to commonly asked questions to help you when working with technology at the University of Liverpool.
If you are unable to find the answer to your question in our knowledge base and it’s not convenient to contact the IT Service Desk by phone or use the online chat function, you can also submit your query on our self-service portal or by email to servicedesk@liverpool.ac.uk. Please note that queries submitted to the self-service portal or by email out-of-hours will receive an automatic reply directing you to our out-of-hours online chat facility. If you are unable to use the chat facility for any reason, your query will be picked up by one of our IT Service Desk Agents the following working day.
