Coming soon...Glean: A new way to take notes

Students in a lecture theatre

From early 2024 IT Services is introducing a new assistive notetaking application to help support your work and studies throughout your time at University.

The new platform, called Glean, is replacing the current system, Audio Notetaker which is being retired by the parent company, Sonocent.

Glean will mean that notes will now be stored in the Cloud, meaning you should be able to access them whenever and wherever you want, but installation will not be available via Install University Applications in the same way that Audio Notetaker was. If you would like to have access to Glean, you will need to request this by emailing IT Services’ Assistive Technology Specialist, Ste Summers on atsupport@liverpool.ac.uk

Unfortunately, any existing Audio Notetaker files will not be able to be transferred over to Glean in full but you can import your existing audio files into Glean.

If you would like any further information or assistance please contact Ste Summers, by emailing atsupport@liverpool.ac.uk.
