PC centre upgrades
We are upgrading our PC centres! This is part of a rolling project in which IT Services ensures that the equipment in every PC Centre is upgraded every four years. This ensures the best possible experience for our students while they study with us on campus, providing high quality equipment so they can focus on their work.
Each summer we take on this task to minimise disruption and have new hardware ready and waiting for students to join us again in September. This summer we will be upgrading 23 Teaching Centres across campus, which means we’ll be replacing 773 PCs and 377 monitors.
This is all down to the fantastic work of our Desktop Support Team; we’d like to thank them for taking on this mammoth task! Conducting this project each summer requires a huge amount of staff resource, for this we are so grateful to our Desktop Technicians. This is such great work as these facilities are used by students across the institution throughout the academic year and form a vital part of their experience here at the University of Liverpool.
