Your student email account is used for official University communications, as well as by lecturers, academic departments, and other University services to provide important information and updates.

It is important that you check your messages on a regular basis.

Your email account is available from anywhere in the world, as long as you have internet access.

To help make things easier our Computing Services Team have a few tips to help you keep in touch, no matter where you are or what smartphone or device you are using.

1. Set up your University email on your smartphone

Setting up your University email account on your smartphone is really simple and should take no more than a few minutes. Just follow the instructions for your Android or Apple device.

2. Access through a web browser

You can also access email through your web browser of choice using Webmail. Simply login to webmail by entering your University username and your password. If you're accessing your emails on a laptop, webmail is the easiest way to do this.

3. Forward your emails

Another option is to set up email forwarding to redirect your email to another account. You can choose to forward your University account to another account if that helps you to keep up-to-date. Click here to find out how.

If you have any problems accessing your emails then the CSD Service Desk is the first point of contact. If you do need assistance, please get in touch.
