Accessing your files
When you log onto the Managed Windows Service (MWS) your M: drive is automatically available to you and is the default save location for students on PC Centre computers. Saving to your M: drive means your work is secure, backed up and accessible both on and off campus.
Accessing the files on your M: drive from a tablet or a mobile will depend upon the device you are using - we provide advice on our mobile and tablet web pages.
If you are using a personal PC, Mac or you are off campus, you can access your M: drive or other departmental/shared drives using Apps Anywhere.
Alternatively, you can map your drive
As an alternative to using Apps Anywhere, you can map your M: drive or departmental drive to you computer, so that you can access it alongside other drives such as the hard drive (C: drive) of your computer.
To map your M: drive or a departmental drive, you need to know the paths for your drives, and you need to be registered to use the VPN service.
