Database hosting

IT Services provides secure, resilient, managed databases on either clustered SQL servers or within a VMware server. Database hosting includes installation and on-going database server maintenance by IT Services.

Microsoft SQL and MySQL

Microsoft SQL databases can either be hosted on a VMware server or on one of the SQL clusters. If the database is over 50GB then hosting on the SQL cluster would be the most suitable option provided it is supported by the software vendor and application.

All Microsoft licensing costs for SQL are included with the service.

MySQL databases can be hosted on a VMware server.
