Do reconciliation funded arts projects transform conflict?

Dr Sarah Jankowitz, Queen's University Belfast talks about the way art activities are measured, in the absence of shared definitions of peacebuilding and reconciliation.

So much of our understanding of AfR practices comes through evaluation processes. We need to take a more expansive and holistic approach to understanding the complex effects and the many different ways art can be used to bring about transformation.
