Meet and greet

We are expecting to welcome around 250 new international students in January 2025. To help manage arrivals, University staff and student ambassadors will be present at the airport on a number of days in January, to signpost students to get them to their accommodation in Liverpool safely.

Travelling from Manchester airport to Liverpool 

The suggested options for your journey from Manchester Airport are either by private taxi or train. Taxis are the more expensive option. The train is cheaper, but the journey is likely to take longer. You can learn more about travelling from Manchester Airport on their website. 

I am arriving at a different airport

We do not offer a meet and greet service from any other airport, but you can find some information here on how to make your own way.

How much luggage can I bring?

We recommend you check the luggage allowance with your airline. Often this will be 2 large wheeled cases and 1 small case. We advise that you only bring as much luggage as you can manage by yourself for your onward journey to Liverpool.
