A Women's History of The Beatles
Posted on: 5 March 2021 in Posts
Liverpool Literary Festival welcomes Dr Christine Feldman-Barrett, author of A Women’s History of the Beatles and Senior Lecturer in the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science at Griffith University, Australia, in conversation with Dr Holly Tessler, IPM associate, Lecturer and Beatles expert.
Dr Tessler and Dr Feldman-Barrett will be exploring how the iconic Liverpool band have shaped, and have been shaped by, the women in their lives.
The talk will mark International Women’s Day 2021 and celebrates the launch of the Department of Music’s new MA in the Beatles. It also continues the Yoko Series of events as we count down to the opening of the University’s Yoko Ono Lennon Centre later this year.
A Women’s History of the Beatles will be streamed via Zoom and Facebook and is free to attend. A Zoom link will be sent out to all attendees once they are registered for the event, but please note places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Access to Facebook is unlimited, however, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions via either stream following the main discussion if you wish.
