About
Gabe graduated from the University of Sassari (Italy) in 2019. During his final semester in vet school, he trained in equine reproduction and stud medicine in a breeding stud in Devon. After graduation, he completed an internship in Livestock Health and Welfare at the University of Liverpool and he then moved to the USA for a second internship in Agricultural Animal Medicine and Surgery at Washington State University. Following this, he worked in a mixed practice in Wales for two years, before moving to volunteer in Namibia and Tanzania with African wildlife and farmed species. He returned to Leahurst in March 2024 to start a residency, where he’ll work towards the diploma of the European College of Animal Reproduction (ECAR) alongside the Diploma in Bovine Reproduction (DBR) Masters. In addition to his main interest in comparative reproduction, Gabe enjoys large animal surgery and all things camelids.
