Beatriz Garcia
Dr Beatriz García, Director of Impacts 08 and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Liverpool. Dr Garcia has been leading international research in cultural policy, urban regeneration, and major events since 1999. Prior to her role leading the assessment of Liverpool as European Capital of Culture, she completed a major retrospective study on the long-term cultural legacy of the Glasgow 1990 title.
She has also pioneered research on the cultural policy implications of hosting the Olympic Games, covering the period 1992 (Barcelona Games) onwards. Beatriz has been a cultural advisor to the London 2012 Olympic Organising Committee since the bid stage, and is a member of the Selection Committee for Postgraduate Research at the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne (IOC). Ruth Melville
Ruth Melville, Programme Manager and Senior Research Fellow.
Ruth is now undertaking freelance work, including roles as advisor to Liverpool’s arts sector’s Thrive programme and involvement in developing the evaluation framework for the North West Cultural Olympiad.
Tamsin Cox
Tamsin Cox, Programme Manager, has worked in the cultural sector for a number of years and is also an experienced public funding negotiator with a range of successful bidding and project management experiences.
She's now Head of Policy and Research at DHA Communications.
