Short courses in social research methods

In collaboration with the North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership, the Department of Sociology, Criminology and Social Policy offers short modules which provide specialised methods and training in social sciences.

The modules enable you to study alongside work to keep your knowledge up to date and enhance your career development.

Each short methods and training module is worth 5 credits, which can be used to amount to a Postgraduate Award (30 credits), a Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits), a Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits), or build towards an MA in Social Research Methods (180 credits). These 5 credits can also count as and can be converted to Continuing Professional Development credits.
