About
I received my PhD from Northumbria University in November 2017 and was appointed as one of the inaugural Derby Fellows at the University of Liverpool in October 2018. My forthcoming monograph Imagining Alternative Histories of Britain and Northern Ireland in Television Drama, British Fictions and Fictional Britains' explores the construction of British history and national identity in television drama and the concept of 'discomposure.' It will be published by Routlege in 2026.
My other current project concerns the cultural evolution of Dungeons and Dragons as a product of the contemporary post-convergence media landscape.
My broader research interests include feminism, postfeminism and popular feminism in the media.I am also interested in the relationship between media and the past, specifically how fictional representations of the past inform and inflect cultural memory and the evolution of television as a form and field of study in the wake of media convergence.
