ENVS 418 Population Data Science

The module provides an introduction to fundamental techniques of population data science theory. New forms of data in the way of digital traces are becoming more easily accessible offering a unique opportunity to understand societal population issues at an unprecedented temporal and spatial granularity and a global scale. These data, however, represent a challenge for traditional demographic approaches. This module provides an introduction to the use of novel methods to analyse digital trace data.
