Personal Statement

I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Liverpool, and received my PhD in 2018.

I joined the Department of History in 2019 as a postdoctoral researcher on the AHRC-funded project, ‘Libraries, Reading Communities & Cultural Formation in the Eighteenth-Century Atlantic’, having previously held a postdoctoral research position at Keele University, working on the AHRC-funded project 'Business News in the Atlantic World, 1620-1763.'.

In 2023, I became a temporary Lecturer in Modern British History, and in 2024 I was appointed to a permanent position as Lecturer in Eighteenth-Century History.
