Our recent consultancy projects include:
Evaluation of the Liverpool City Region Households into Work programme. The Heseltine Institute was commissioned by Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to evaluate outcomes from this pilot project, which was designed to address systemic issues leading to long-term and entrenched worklessness. Eurovision 2023: The Results Are In. The Heseltine Institute was commissioned by Liverpool City Council to produce a synthesis of various strands of quantitative and qualitative evaluation projects to assess the economic and impact of Eurovision 2023. Working with partners across Liverpool City Region and in government, the results of the project were presented at a major event receiving national media coverage. Read more here.
Croxteth Good Help Hub: This project, funded by Partnerships for People and Place, aimed to improve coordination between local partners and central government agencies to improve local service delivery. The Heseltine Institute was commissioned to evaluate both outcomes and processes, adopting a utilisation-focused approach. Read more here.
Place-based Adult Skills and Training. Commissioned by the Local Government Association, the Heseltine Institute delivered a critical review and synthesis of policy on labour market changes and trends supported by qualitative research and case studies to assess the problem of low skills amongst adults and proposed policies to address this challenge.
