About

Personal Statement

I am a Lecturer in Anatomy in the Human Anatomy Resource Centre (HARC). I joined HARC initially as a Demonstrator in 2012, before moving to my current position in 2018. Before this I worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in anatomy at the University of Glasgow.

My background is in applied anatomy, having completed a BSc in Anatomy (2011) and PhD in musculoskeletal biology (2021). As an education-focussed academic, I enjoy designing and leading courses across different disciplines and exploring good educational practice through scholarship and research. Many of my projects have been recognised with awards or commendations. I particularly enjoy working with people: collaborating with colleagues, supporting the training of current and future professionals, mentoring peers and communicating with the public.

Selected roles include:

Councillor, The Anatomical Society.
Programme Director, PGCert Clinical Anatomy with Education.
Course Lead for Anatomy, MBChB Medicine and Surgery.
Module Coordinator LIFE235 & BIOS305, BSc Anatomy & Human Biology.
Person Designate, Human Tissue Authority licence 12022.
