Annemarie is Director of HealthTech and Innovation Growth at the University of Liverpool where she is leading development and implementation of the Civic Health Innovation Lab’s Investment Zone programme in conjunction with the Integrated Care Board and Liverpool City Region’s Combined Authority.
She is a hybrid professional whose career has spanned the public, private and third sectors - with senior leadership roles in research, policy and strategy as well as in national service design and programme delivery. She is, also, an Executive Fellow of the University of Essex and alumna of the Open Innovation Fellowship managed by London and Partners in conjunction with the Royal College of Arts.
Annemarie is a subject expert in data-driven health and care with a successful track record in advocacy at a national level who has worked extensively with parliamentarians, central government officials and senior leaders of national organisations as well as with NHS Trusts and local authorities to evidence need and advocate for change. She has made recommendations about how best to deploy data and technology in pursuit of improved outcomes for patients and service users and has contributed to broad-ranging legislation, regulations, and guidance.
She, also, benefits from significant partnership development, relationship and public affairs management experience and is hard-wired for collaboration. This wiring, plus natural strengths in communication, enable her to build coalitions, develop programmes of work and drive impact at scale.
