Education Directorate

We empower staff to provide a high-quality educational experience for all undergraduate students in our Faculty.

Our curriculum development is driven by research-active staff, aligning our teaching with internationally recognised research at Liverpool. We use proven teaching practices and the latest technology to meet the diverse needs of our learners.

Led by Professor Francine Watkins, the Directorate includes the Centre for Educational Development and Support, the Human Anatomy Resource Centre, and a Student Experience team. Together, we work across the Faculty to enhance education and improve the student experience at Liverpool.

Centre for Educational Development and Support (CEDS)

CEDS offers comprehensive digital learning, pedagogical support, and academic development services to all staff in the Faculty, including scholarship support, digital projects, quality assurance, and CPD module development.

Human Anatomy Resource Centre (HARC)

HARC is a dedicated facility for studying human anatomy. It offers access to human tissue specimens, anatomical models, and advanced imaging technologies, supporting medical education and research.

Student Experience

Our Student Experience team works with colleagues across the Faculty to provide bespoke academic support, wellbeing initiatives, and resources tailored to the unique needs of health and life sciences students.
