Please be aware that parking on the University campus is extremely limited. We strongly recommend that visitors use public transport wherever possible.

Travel and parking

Since parking on campus is limited, we strongly recommend using public transit to get to your ceremony. The University campus is only a short walk or taxi ride away from the city centre and all its national and international transport links. See the Visiting the University for more information.

Car parking

The public multi-storey car park on Mount Pleasant is the largest nearby parking facility. See Liverpool City Council Parking for a list of city centre car parks and how much they charge.

On campus, the following visitor car parks will be available for a charge and on a strictly first come, first served basis:

• Mount Pleasant Car Park - accessed opposite the Metropolitan Cathedral
• Brownlow Street Car Park - accessed from Pembroke Place.

Inviting family from overseas 

Friends or family coming to your graduation from overseas may require a Standard Visitor visa to attend your graduation ceremony. You will need to make sure that you have registered to attend on the graduation portal and then request a graduation status letter by email. Your graduation status letter will then be sent to you by return of email.
