Othman Ibrahim
Othman is vice president of Liverpool Guild of Students for 2024/25. He is focusing on the university's education policy, library facilities, and mental health support, challenging the cost of living crisis for students, as well as ensuring the university has ethical research and investment partnerships. A native of Egypt, Othman has attended school in Saudi Arabia, and graduated with a first class bachelor of engineering with honours in Architectural Engineering from the University of Liverpool in July 2024. His academic interest is in socially just and environmentally sustainable urban planning.
As a student, Othman was heavily involved with the guild's various societies and initiatives. Most notably, he was president of Arab Society for two years, and helped the society win Fundraiser of the Year Award for raising more than £13,000 for charity over the academic year 2023/24.
