How do I apply?
Applications for summer 2024 are now closed. We'll be updating this page with information about our 2025 programmes in December 2024.
The Summer Research Programme is open to international students who meet our study abroad entry requirements. We cannot accept students who are currently studying in the UK.
The application process is simple and our Global Opportunities team will guide you through it, from your first contact with us through to pre-arrival briefings and your all-important first days on campus.
All students must apply directly through the Global Opportunities team.
Application preparation tips
- Summer research projects are all worth 15 University of Liverpool credits
- Make a note of the module code and project title of the programme you're interested in, you'll need this when you apply
- When writing your personal statement, make sure it's tailored to the project specification and relevant project supervisor for the programme.
Important documents you'll need
Before you submit your application, make sure you have the following:
- Your academic transcript
- Your proof of English language ability (if you're a non-native English speaker)
- Your personal statement detaling why you're interested in the project and how you meet any specific entry criteria noted in the project specification.
Find further information on our entry requirements page. If you're applying to more than one project, we recommend you submit a different personal statement tailored to each project.
