The Humanitarian Scholarships are enabling people, who have refugee status outside the UK, the opportunity to continue their academic careers at postgraduate level.
The scholarship is open to students across the world who have Refugee or Asylum Status or Humanitarian Protection as recognised by the 1951 UN Convention on the Status of Refugees.

How your gift will help
Your support will help vulnerable individuals who have been forced to flee their homes due to desperate circumstances beyond their control. Each humanitarian scholarship will:
- Enable access to education through a taught master’s course for one year with tuition fees waived
- Provide a bursary to cover accommodation and living costs
- Provide language support and visa applications.

At the University of Liverpool, we are responding to the need for equity in higher education, particularly amongst those with refugee status that has been granted outside the UK. For refugees, access to higher education, let alone postgraduate education, can be particularly challenging or impossible.
