Research has led to change in policy and practice by mobilising stakeholders for the governance of the Irish Sea. This has led to the creation of 10 Marine Conservation Zones in English waters, protecting vulnerable species and formation of the Irish Sea Maritime Forum. Tools have also been developed for implementing national marine legislation and have been used across the world leading to improved environmental status of national waters.
More information on the Irish Sea Maritime Forum can be found here.
