Ice Sheets and Glaciers

We study ice masses on all scales, from the large polar ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica, to the mountain glaciers of the world.

We develop and apply state-of-the-art remote sensing techniques (including AI) and numerical ice flow models, in addition to field-based measurements, to help improve our understanding of ice dynamics over timescales from hundreds of thousands of years to annual and seasonal scales; this informs our understanding of future sea-level rise and water resources.
