Environmental Change

The Environmental Change Group at the University of Liverpool explores past, present and future of environmental change at a range of spatial and temporal scales across Earth, thereby addressing some of the most pressing issues facing humanity.

We support a vibrant BSc Geography programme, dedicated MSc programmes in Environment and Climate Change and Environmental Science and have a large postgraduate community. Our research can be grouped into five key themes.

Our research focuses on understanding recent and future ecosystem changes in the living portion of planet Earth, including processes above and below ground.
