Irish Sea Maritime Forum Inaugural Conference
On 28th July Sue Kidd and Lynne McGowan together with Caroline Salthouse from the North West Coastal Forum organized the inaugural conference of the Irish Sea Maritime Forum in the new Titanic signature building in Belfast.
Attended by over 80 stakeholders, the day included contributions from all six Irish Sea marine planning teams including a key note address by the Minister Alex Attwood on behalf of the Department of Environment Northern Ireland and from Flo Clucas, member of the Leadership Group for the Atlantic Forum exploring how the ISMF might link into the development of the EU’s Atlantic Strategy. A conference report and programme of ISMF activities for 2012/13 is to be launched in August.
