Toronto Field Class Year 3 ENVS 353

In this 30-credit, Year 3 human geography field class, we explore Toronto. Toronto is a key global city, a major financial centre and an important hub for international migration.

Toronto is one of the most ethnically diverse places on earth, with various First Nations’ tracing their origins to the local area and underpinning its colonial history.

Toronto provides a rich environment for conducting a short research project. This module aims to give students experience in: Designing, implementing, and reporting on a short field research project; Conducting field observations in a variety of urban contexts within the global city of Toronto; Collaborating with peers through all stages of a field research project. Students develop projects alongside staff supervisors, and students will be assessed through both individual and group work”.
