Whether you are looking for a funded project or have sourced your own funding, we are interested in hearing from excellent candidates from a variety of academic backgrounds.
Candidate requirements
We are interested in hearing from excellent candidates (1st, 2.1 or equivalent at undergraduate; merit/distinction at MSc) from a variety of backgrounds including but not limited to geographic information systems, geocomputation, quantitative geography social science (geography, planning, sociology etc), social statistics, computer science, physics or mathematics.
Funding
We have on-going funding opportunities that are tied both to our programmes of research, and also the ESRC North West Social Sciences DTC. There will also be some exciting opportunities within our new ESRC Centre for Doctoral Training Centre.
There are also opportunities for exceptional candidates wishing to self-fund PhD study.
