Riverbank

Home to frogs and all kinds of waterfowl, the gentle lapping waters of the Nile riverbanks sheltered and nurtured these creatures. Despite peaceful appearances, the riverbanks teemed with danger, with crocodiles and hippopotami lurking on them, or just under the water’s surface.
