Ecosystems of the Nile

The River Nile presents a unique environment for flourishing life in the Sahara.  The lush green of its banks is in stark contrast to the surrounding desert.

As humans interacted with this environment, they left behind images of the creatures they observed, written records of the livestock they owned, and the physical remains of these creatures.

Scientific identification and analysis of these species offers an insight into their life, death, and the reasons for their disappearance.
