Aircraft Handling Qualities and Flight Control

Good flying qualities have an important role to play in contributing to flight safety. However, an increase in the level of safety should not be acheived at the expense of performance. Managing the balance between performance and safety forms a major part of a handling qualities engineer's workload, and is a key research area for FS&T.
