Paying student fees is an integral part of the registration process at University of Liverpool. Please see advice and guidance below in relation to keeping your money safe.

Keeping your money safe 

University of Liverpool has a zero-tolerance policy to fraud. Payments are liable to returned to original payers if students cannot provide a completed Know Your Payer form, if requested.

We therefore recommend: 

• Making payment from your account or that of someone that you know and trust.  
• Only pay your fees to University of Liverpool by one of our approved payment providers, Flywire (debit/credit card) or CIBC International Student Pay Portal. 
• If agents are making payment on your behalf, any potential overpayments or refunds due will be paid back to the original payer.
• If a loan provider is making payment on your behalf, any potential overpayments or refunds due will be paid back to the original payer.
• Be cautious of anyone other than the University offering to pay your fees at a discount, this is likely to be fraudulent. 
• Never share your bank account or debit/credit card details with anyone unless you know and can trust them. 
• Please double check any communications received from the University to ensure that it has come from an official channel and not a scammer.  
• Do not allow someone that you do not know or trust to transfer money through your bank account.
• If you receive suspicious texts, do not reply, or click any links.
• Be mindful of the information you share about yourself online.

The University has an obligation to know where all the payments they receive are coming from, so sometimes extra checks are completed regarding the origin of your fee payment.
