Crown Place Student Residential Scheme (2016)

Completed in September 2014, this £51 million city centre scheme is situated in the heart of the University Campus.

Teaching Hub Teaching Hub Outside 1

Teaching Hub (2018)

Refurbishment works completed over 2 floors within building 502 on central campus to provide additional teaching and study space.

Greenbank Student Village

Greenbank Student Village (2019)

The development of Greenbank Student Village was completed in September 2019. The Student Village provides 1,361 rooms for undergraduate students.

School of Law and Social Justice

School of Law and Social Justice (2019)

Construction work in transforming the old Cypress building into new facilities for the school of Law and Social Justice commenced January 2018 and completed December 2019.

Greenbank House

Greenbank House (2019)

Conservation Project Grade 2** listed Greenbank House was originally the residence of the Rathbone family. Greenbank House has now been renovated to bring back its former glory. It was completed in January 2020 and now accommodates teaching facilities.

Derby Old Court and Annex Old hall and annex

Derby Old Hall and Annex (2019)

Derby Old Court was modernised to create student bedrooms, kitchens and social spaces, as well as the restoration of the external fixtures. It was completed in 2 Phases. The Annex was handed over to the University in 2017 with the following 2 phases in 2018 and 2019.

Sir Alastair Pilkington Building

Sir Alastair Pilkington Building (2021)

During the summer half term, ULCCO SP was the main contractor on the refurbishment of part of the Sir Alistair Pilkington Building. The Works comprised of refurbishing 5 floors of the existing building to provide new facilities for the School of the Arts.

Whelan Roof

Wheelan Roof (2022)

ULCCO SP undertook the main contractor role on the Whelan Building carrying out major roof repairs and refurbishment works to the existing roof structure inclusive of the copper spire and two terracotta feature towers. The works on site commenced in February 2021 and were completed in April 2022.

The Yoko Ono Lennon Centre

Yoko Ono Lennon Centre (2022)

ULCCO Special Projects was the main contractor responsible for the delivery of the new £23m Yoko Ono Lennon Centre which was completed in June 2022. The new facility is located at the junction of Oxford Street and Grove Street, with a main campus entrance linking to a new public plaza adjacent to the Sydney Jones Library and the Brett Building.

Public Realm

Public Realm (2022)

ULCCO Special Projects carried out various areas of Public Realm improvement works across main campus over a number of phases. These works were completed in May 2022.

Foundation Building

ULCCO Special Projects carried out refurbishments worth over £4M in complete office remodeling and fit out with new furniture and equipment.

Brett Gardens

Brett Gardens (2023)

ULCCO Special Projects carried out refurbishment works on the north and south gardens to create some green spaces across the campus.

VG&M

Victoria Gallery & Museum (2023)

The Victoria Building, home to the Victoria Gallery and Museum, has undergone extensive roofing works to remove and replace all the existing roof coverings, along with remedial works to the masonry stone work, windows and replacement/recovery of existing roof slates, replacement of leadwork and repairs to the chimneys.

Sydney Jones Library

Sydney Jones Library (2023)

The Sydney Jones Library, the main library for arts, humanities, law, social and environmental studies, has undergone refurbishment works in order to prolong the life of the building as well as improving the buildings’ thermal performance and energy efficiency.
