Like so many sectors and industries, the world of sport has taken a huge hit in the wake of covid-19. For months, live sport was missing from our stadiums and televisions screens and fans resorted to watching archive footage of their favourite teams and athletes online. All sports organisations, whether governing bodies and leagues, clubs, broadcasters, and individual professionals have faced the problem of keeping fans engaged and adapting to a world without live spectators. How have they done so, and how will they sustain the interest of fans in an uncertain world?
The Sports Management Professional Interest Network is delighted to present a panel of experts who will be discussing the topic of fan engagement during the pandemic and what it will look like in the context of the ‘new normal’.
The panel will be moderated by Charlie Greenwood (founder of SportsLoft) and include Richard Ayers (founder and chairman of Seven League) and other experts in this area.
