A discussion hosted by Oge Obioha, co-founder of Minds of People of Colour.
“This session explores Black identity at University, vulnerability, the strong Black woman trope, as well as how to support your Black friends and peers. The aim is to empower students with the tools to recognise and identify Black trauma, and healthy ways to navigate this through the violence presented during your years in Higher Education."
Minds of POC is a developmental consultancy serviced focused on improving mental health services for People of Colour. Due to a lack of knowledge around People of Colour’s mental health, they are committed to enact change through consultations, worships and training in hope of laying the ground work for true structural change.
Oge Obioha, is a law graduate and is the current President of Leicester Students’ Union.
This event is open to Black Students only.
